At 38 years of age Charles became the father of John COUNCIL in North Carolina, 26 Nov 1765. At 40 years of age Charles became the father of Reddick COUNCIL 1 May 1768. Council Lineal Descendants to the Revolutionary War

This lineage establishes Eligibility to Membership in organization "Daughters of the American Revolution". Nancy McClelland, deceased, who was a resident of the state of Kansas, was a member of the D.A.R., her national D.A.R. number being 335271. Nancy McClelland being a descendant of Charlotte Council McClelland, who was a sister of Hardy Council, and William Council, who came to Sangamon County, Illinois, in 1819 and 1821 respectively. The Council ancestor of the Revolutionary period being Charles Council, born 1727, in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. He married Eurodice Council in July, 1759. He died July 6, 1805, in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. He was a Revolutionary War veteran, serving in the Virginia Militia. John Council was born Nov. 26, 1765. His wife being Elizabeth Reddick Council. William Council, born Oct. 1, 1791, in North Carolina. He was a soldier in the War of 1812. He died in Illinois in the year 1846; having come to Sangamon County, Illinois, in 1821. He married Mary (Polly) Graves, who was born in Tennessee, June 15, 1802, and died in 1869 in Sangamon County, Illinois. George W. Council married Jane Mitts. John M. Council married Elizabeth Ellen Hay. Her parents resided near Cantrall and Andrew, Illinois; having come to this state from Millersville, Ohio; their daughter Louella Jane Council, married Francis Irvin McFadden. The Councils traced their ascendants back to John Council, who fought under Cromwell. John Councills wife was Elizabeth Drake of Devonshire England; they date back to England in 1640. Hodges Council Came to Virginia and married Lucy Hardy.

At 50 years of age Charles became the father of Charlotte COUNCIL 4 Dec 1777. The village of Council Bend, Arkansas, was named for Redwick Council, who built the first in that section. In 1822, Simion Council moved into Crittenden County, Arkansas. This Redwick or Reddick Council was possibly the son of Charles Council of Edgecombe County, North Carolina, according to Biographic and Historic Memoirs of Eastern Arkansas.
