Illinois, Calvary Cemetery. Introduction: Calvary and Oakridge cemeteries are adjoining cemeterys just west of Lincoln Park, which
lies west of Fifth Street in northern Springfield, Illinois. The following are locations of the family burial sites in those cemeteries:
McGurk -- Enter the Calvary cemetery at the east side through Lincoln Park at the entrance which is right next to cemetery
office. Proceed west until the first road goes to the north, and turn north. Proceed north roughly 50 yards (going roughly 27 yards beyond
a large group of stone crosses on the right) to find the McGurk family headstone a few yards from the west edge of the road near a large
tree. These distances may not be accurate, and the tree is approximately the fourth large tree on the west side of the road. This McGurk
site has the large family stone where Francis V. McGurk and his first wife Catherine Grannells McGurk (great-grandparents of Rita Beagles
Drake) and a daughter are buried. Their is no name other than McGurk on the stone for Francis, his wife, or daughter Catherine. Also
buried here is Frances L. McGurk Beagles Campbell, grandmother of Rita Beagles Drake, her grave being marked with a gravestone.

Mrs. Anderson Beagles reports her son Eugene Beagles as doing well in a position with a telephone company in Chicago. Last Christmas
Eugene married a St. Louis young lady and they are making their home on North LaSalle Street.

Dreamland Dancing to be Opened Again
Dreamland, the dancing pavilion at Pretty Lake, will be run again this season by Eugene S. Beagles, the owner. He has secured an orchestra
of five pieces from Chicago to stay in Plymouth all season to furnish music for Dreamland. Mr. Beagles says that the five young men
memberes are splendid musicians. There will be a big opening some time in June. * * * * * * * * From the May 11, 1922 issue of
the Plymouth (Indiana) Republican "Dreamland" to be Name of Pretty Lake Pavillion In Tuesday's Republican an account was given of a dance
pavilion being erected by local boys at Pretty Lake. It has since been decided to name the resort "Dreamland." The pavilion will be 48
by 36 feet in dimensions and will be of nifty appearance. Thomson & O'Keefe have the contract. May 30 is the opening date. * * * * * * * *
A subsequent article in the May 8, 1926 Pilot News stated that T. Englehardt is operating the beach and dance pavillion at Pretty Lake this

corner of the lake).

Eugene S. Beagles makes this city headquarters for Memorial Album Company.
Eugene S. Beagles, a Plymouth boy who has made a great record in the world of salesmanship, has come back home and founded a concern of his
own. It is the Memorial Album Company, a service for Funeral Directors.
Mr. Beagles has his office at 511 North Michigan Street. The Memorial Album Company is the result of much thought and the experience of a
year and a half in this particular line of endeavor.
The Memorial Album is the most beautiful record book available in America for funeral directors. Its purpose is to make a lasting record
for the families and relatives of loved ones who have gone.
The cover of the Memorial Album is an exact replica of Italian hand tooled leather, and this part of the album is made in Chicago. The
entire inside setup is in keeping with the cover and is being printed in The Pilot Company shop.
"I am convinced that a business such as this can be handled satisfactorily out of Plymouth," said Mr. Beagles today, "inasmuch as there
are 21 mail services each day coming in, and the overhead is far less than in Chicago or New York.
It is Mr. Beagles' purpose to develop his business on a national scale as rapidly as possible. Representatives are now covering Illinois,
Indiana, Michigan and Missouri. New states will be opened as fast as high class salesmen can be secured.
Mr. Beagles is traveling most of the time himself, but will be in Plymouth week ends and can be reached by anyone at telephone 301. One of
the first things he did after getting located in Plymouth was to take out a membership in the Chamber of Commerce. * * * *

established a large scholarship for local Plymouth high school students, with about $27,000 being distributed in that first year. The
article had a photo of each of the Stanleys and details of their lives.
